Answer the following questions to discuss in class.
1. What important difference was there between the Spanish and French colonization on the one hand and the English colonization on the other?
2. Define absolute and constitutional monarchy.
3. What was the House of Burgesses? Trace its history.

Identify the three different British colonial regions in North America: New England, Middle colonies and Southern colonies. How were they alike? How were they different?
